In light of the impact of anesthesia on hemodynamic physiology, BIS™ technology (Medtronic) has been integrated into the LiDCO enabling clinicians to titrate anesthesia with its hemodynamic effects, thus ensuring that neither over-anesthetising, nor under-anesthetising, nor dramatic falls in blood pressure and flow need take place.

The LiDCOunity monitor is a single platform which combines both the LiDCOplus and LiDCOrapid functions and can be used non-invasively, minimally invasively with a radial arterial line and can be calibrated with the lithium dilution technique.

The LiDCOrapid uses the PulseCO™ algorithm which converts blood pressure to its constituent parts of flow (CO, SV) and resistance (SVR). The PulseCO™ algorithm is scaled to each patient with a nomogram using age, height, and weight.

LiDCOview provides both the clinical researcher and the routine user with easy to view beat-to-beat hemodynamic data that was collected with the LiDCO monitors. It runs on a standard Window PC and is designed as a graphical display of historical hemodynamic data.
