The LiDCO Blood Pressure module (HM 38-01) is used to provide an alternate means of arterial blood pressure waveform input to LiDCO monitors. The BP module is used in conjunction with the LiDCOrapid (V1.03 and above) and LiDCOplus (V4.02 and above).
Contraindications: None
USB ADC cable assemblies for connecting LiDCOunity v2 Monitors to blood pressure monitors
PulseCO™ cable assemblies for connection to blood pressure monitors.
LiDCO blood pressure module cable assemblies for connection to blood pressure transducers.
The LiDCOplus and LiDCOrapid hemodynamic monitors can be mounted to the roll stand, fixed to the wall, bed stand or anesthetic trolley. Our stand solutions provide you with choice that makes your LiDCO system easy to use and easy to maintain.

LiDCO monitors can interface with hospital information systems and provide data to electronic medical records via standard communications links. Both the plus and rapid utilise the serial port on the monitor and the communication standard RS232 to provide this interface. In most instances the LiDCO monitor will interface with a local bedside device provided by the 3rd party. A driver may be necessary for systems not listed below. Contact LiDCO to obtain detailed specifications for the RS232 interface.
The LiDCO hardware connection point is COM1 for all serial communications output from LiDCO monitors. COM1 is a standard 9-way serial port. The communications software module must be switched on in the Engineering Screen along with the system specific settings.
LiDCOplus provides DO2/DO2I, CO/CI, SVR/SVRI, SV/SI, Sys/MAP/Dia, SVV, PPV, SPV and HRV
LiDCOrapid V1 provides CO/CI, SVR/SVRI, SV/SI, Sys/MAP/Dia, SVV, PPV, SPV and HRV
LiDCOrapid V2 provides CO/CI, SVR/SVRI, SV/SI, Sys/MAP/Dia, SVV, PPV, SPV, HRV, BIS, EMG, SQI, SR and BC
The products have one of two serial output settings depending on the type of system that is being connected.
IntelliBridge or VueLink is used for interfacing with Philips patient monitors.
All LiDCO monitors are compatible with the newly released Philips IntelliBridge patient data interface. IntelliBridge connects via a specific Philips Intellibridge module and cable.
VueLink connects via a specific Philips Vuelink module and cable. This setting is also used by Capsule Technologie.
LiDCOSerial is used for all other interfaces with systems that have developed drivers (listed below).
The data output frequency is adjustable from beat-to-beat out to every 4 hours. The user can control the averaging period for each data point as well.
Port configuration settings for RS232 can be modified within the Engineering Screen. The default settings are as follows:
Baud Rate: | 57600 |
Data Bits: | 8 |
Stop Bits: | 1 |
Parity: | None |
For GE Centricity, the Baud Rate must be set to 19200 and parity must be set to even; data observation must be set to Beat-to-Beat.
